According to Mark Norton, administrator for the Lake Elsinore San Jacinto Watershed Authority, the alum treatments scheduled for September 22 through 26 are just building on the success of previous applications. A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, and information will be presented during the upcoming City Council meeting. “We are continuing to see improvements not only in the reduction of phosphorous, but in the overall clarity of Canyon Lake,” says Mark. “We are confident that the lake’s water quality will get better with each alum application.”
