Pleasant Lake, WI, In Good Condition

Pleasant Lake, WI, could be a poster-child for AIS prevention and education. Beginning with a small scale lake planning grant in 2007, Walworth County developed an aquatic plant management plan; this was followed by a grant from the DNR for aquatic invasive species early detection in 2010, a 2011 Clean Boats, Clean Waters grant, and in 2012, using data gathered from their 2007 project, they received a grant to study water levels and the lake’s outlet pipe replacement options. With all this effort, the association can say that Pleasant Lake has no new invasive species as of 2014!
